Why do some struggle while others walk in God's blessing?

We are the ones who determine which group we're going to be in – either with the group experiencing the blessing or with the group that is not.

According to Scripture, God's Word, living in God's blessing is the result of our choice.

It's our choice - it's based on the decisions we make.

The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just. Proverbs 3:33 (NKJV)

According to this Scripture, how we choose to live our lives determines whether or not we experience the continual flow of His blessing. If you choose to be wicked, you will live under the curse. If you choose to be just, you will live under the blessing.

Keeping His Word is more than just knowing what it says, it's doing it! It's living by it! It's giving it first place in your life and making it final authority.

But once again, the key was and still is – obedience.

If you want to experience more of God's blessing, what area of your life do you need to be more obedient in? If you are asking for more blessing, maybe God is asking for more obedience.

God desires His blessing to be manifested in every area of your life. We are told in Proverbs 14:11 that "the upright shall flourish." Flourish means to be productive, to achieve success and to continually prosper!

To obey is to comply with whatever God's Word says to do. It is literally submitting to His authority. Obedience isn't something you can "try out" for a few weeks or months. It requires consistency.

Having the blessing on your house doesn't mean that you'll never have adversity – what it does mean is that it will not triumph over you!

Boaz is a picture of our Lord Jesus - Ruth 1:16

If you are feeling vulnerable and defenseless right now, imagine Jesus commanding His angels, “Watch over this one who belongs to Me. Make sure he is treated with respect and not put to shame because he is someone I love and someone whom I died for.”

The Lord is your defense and refuge. Trust Him to defend and protect you!

Do you have to quote an entire verse perfectly...???

No, it is not your ability to quote an entire verse perfectly that releases God’s power, but faith in His Word and His love for you. And one word from Him is enough to send your enemies scurrying away.

Psalm 103:20
20
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.

Each time we speak God’s Word, we give voice to His Word. And when angels hear His Word given voice, they respond!

Happiness...

Real, unshakable, deep-down happiness has to do with the

Jim Caviezel and The Passion

Just saw an excellent interview on TBN with Jim Caviezel who played Jesus Christ in The Passion (which they are going to air on the 17th at 7pm EST).

Most don't know, but when he was filming the cross scenes, it was very cold and he suffered hyperthemia and a dislocated shoulder that was so painful that when the wind came up, each movement racked his body with pain and when they were filming the whipping scenes, he was actually hit twice, one leaving a 14 inch slice in his back. He said that since the skin is one big giant organ, it reacted so harshly that he could not scream because all of the air was cut off.

Also, during the last day of filming he was on a mountain and the clouds were only about 20 feet overhead and that he was struck by lightening. Jim also said that once before filming, Mel Gibson had called him and all of sudden Jim realized something. He told Mel "that I just realized my initials are JC and I am 33 years old!" Mel was so stunned that he just hung up.

Jim also mentioned a book he had read over a 48 hour period called, I think, The Lone Survivor, about 4 soldiers fighting off the Taliban for hours and how Jim later learned that those four soldiers had each watched The Passion before deploying and were not afraid of dying. An amazing interview to say the least. Too many other points to express here, but it was great....

Let your heart be established by God’s grace.

Because of His grace, you have full access to His blessings.

You no longer have to worry about whether you are good enough.

You can stand firm on the promises made in His Word and enjoy His blessings today because Jesus has paid the price.

Your part is only to believe and receive!

Covered with the blood of Jesus

The Lord has given you rights, privileges, authority and power. He redeemed you with His blood. Therefore, everything about you and your life is redeemed by His blood. So if you are fearful about losing your job, cover your job with the blood of Jesus. If you are worried about your children’s safety in these days of terrorist attacks, plead the blood of Jesus over them. If you have received a bad report from the doctor, speak the blood over yourself.

The devil flees when he sees the blood. And when he flees, he takes with him sicknesses, diseases, pains, sufferings, destruction and loss.

Whatever you have covered with the blood of Jesus, God declares, “Protected! Redeemed!”
